4. Megújulás – a templomfelújításról
A templom a metróépítés idején jelentősen megsüllyedt, komoly károkat szenvedett. Előbb, 2007-ben a tornyot erősítették meg. 2013-ban adódott a Iehetőség az épület teljes felújítására Páll László lelkipásztor, elnök-lelkész és Bárczay András presbiter, főgondnok szolgálata idején. Az épületegyüttes megújulását Lichter Tamás (ICM Kft.) szervezte. A templom helyreállítása során a teljes belső teret és annak minden berendezését restaurálták, a gépészeti és az elektromos rendszert pedig korszerűsítették. A templomtér Deák Zoltán és Suszter Dániel (Tripartitum Kft.) építész tervezők tervei szerint újult meg. A kripta helyreállításakor a sírhelyek rendjének megőrzése mellett láthatóvá vált az eredeti klasszicista, centrális tér. Az újjáalakított lejáróval, a kripta megújulásával pedig lehetőség nyílt a történeti emlékhely méltó kialakítására. A sekrestyeépület és a kripta Nagy Gergely és Balogh Ágnes építészek (Pannonterv Kft.) tervei szerint újult meg. A sírok kutatása, dokumentálása és visszahelyezése Susa Éva (Igazságügyi Szakértói és Kutató Intézet) vezetésével történt.
Fontos számunkra, hogy egyházi épületeink megújuljanak, szép állapotban legyenek.

4. Renewal – about the church renovation
During the construction of the subway, the church was severely damaged and sunk. In 2013, the opportunity for a complete renovation of the building arose during the ministry of Pastor László Páll, President-Pastor and András Bárczay, Presbyter and Senior Pastor. The renovation of the building complex was organised by Tamás Lichter (ICM Ltd.). During the restoration of the church, the entire interior and all its furnishings were restored, and the mechanical and electrical systems were modernised. The church interior was renovated according to the plans of the architects Zoltán Deák and Dániel Suszter (Tripartitum Ltd.). The restoration of the crypt, while preserving the order of the tombs, has restored the original neoclassical central space. With the reconstructed entrance and the renewal of the crypt, it was possible to create a historic memorial site worthy of the occasion. The sacristy and the crypt were renovated according to the designs of architects Gergely Nagy and Ágnes Balogh (Pannonterv Ltd.). The research, documentation and reburial of the graves was led by Éva Susa (Institute for Judicial Expertise and Research).
It is important to us that our church buildings are renewed and kept in a beautiful state.
The Word of God calls us to spiritual renewal: …you yourselves also, as living stones, be built up into a spiritual house. First letter of Peter, chapter 2. The living church is made up of living stones, people. There is room for everyone in it.
