3. A közös dallam – az orgonáról röviden
Az orgonát 1829-30-ban építette a bécsi Jacob Deutschmann. A Kálvin téri orgona a Debreceni Református Nagytemplom orgonájának elkészültéig a hazai reformátusság legnagyobb hangszere volt.
A divat XIX. század végi változásával 1891-ben a pécsi Angster-cég új, késő romantikus stílusú orgonát épített a régi orgonaház és a sípmű nagy részének felhasználásával és átalakításával.
A Deutschmann-orgona rekonstrukcióját a Pécsi Orgonaépítő Manufaktúra készítette 2014-ben. Ma ez az egyetlen nagyorgona a fővárosban, ahol a barokktól a kora romantikáig korhűen szólaltatható meg a koncertrepertórium.
A 150. zsoltár Isten dicséretére hív bennünket: Dicsérjétek kürtzengéssel, dicsérjétek lanttal és hárfával! Dicsérjétek dobbal, körtáncot járva, dicsérjétek citerával és fuvolával! Az Ószövetségtől napjainkig az istentisztelethez hozzá tartozik az zene és az ének. Az énekek Isten előtt mondott imádságok. Szívünket megnyithatjuk most is Isten előtt, mondjuk egy imát!

The organ was built in 1829-30 by Jacob Deutschmann of Vienna. Until the organ of the Reformed Church of Debrecen was completed, the organ in Calvin Square was the largest instrument of hungarian reformed.
In 1891, with the change of fashion at the end of the 19th century, the Angster company of Pécs built a new organ in late romantic style, using and converting most of the old organ house and the pipe organ.
The Deutschmann organ was reconstructed in 2014 by the Pécs Organ Building Manufactory. Today, it is the only large organ in the capital where the concert repertoire from the baroque to the early romantic period can be played in a contemporary style.Psalm 150 calls us to praise God: Praise him with horns, praise him with lute and harp! Praise with drum, praise with drum, praise with round dance, praise with cither and flute! From the Old Testament to the present day, music and song have been a part of worship. Hymns are prayers said before God. We can open our hearts to God now and say a prayer!
